Reviews for All Things New

I am very particular about the music that accompanies my life and this CD is worthy of a place at the top of the play list. With all original material, there is something here for everyone--from the hard-rocking Stepping Out to the feel-good Bar None to the hauntingly beautiful Will You Take the Call? The songs included on this disc are rich with meaning and talent. The lyrics tell us much about the spiritual journey of the writers. The instrumentation has great energy and there are enough solos to showcase individual talent on every instrument. The vocals here were the greatest surprise--they are clear and strong and never lost behind or overpowered by the instruments.

While there are plenty of songs with high energy on this disc, some of my personal favorites are the discordant The Table is Laid and those with a quiet message such as Jesus and Centurion. It is rare that I like the re-make of song more than the original but this version of When I Survey the Wondrous Cross speaks to me. The tune here seems better suited to the words than the original and brings me back to reality whenever I am feeling a little too good about my own accomplishments.

This CD has been in the car for several weeks and I listen during my morning and evening commute. It has already become an old friend. This is, in my opinion, a coming of age CD, showing the creativity, talent and diversity of the group. This CD truly is an offering.

More acclaim for
All Things New . . .

“The CD is fantastic. All elements of it. You guys really rock out, the songs are well-written, musically and lyrically. It was very inspiring to listen to. . . . I would have given my right eye-tooth to have stumbled upon you guys when I was a Youth Minister.”

“Circuit Riders testify with tempo, passionate pulse, percussion, strings, chords, wind, and rocking rhythm. They are incredibly able to cover any of rock’s all time favorites exquisitely. But their new CD, All Things New, is a superb creation of their own, and it is awesome! All Things New tells stories of faith with flare, bearing witness with beat, with song like Masquerading and its sweet Santana-like Gospel riff, on the way to the Wondrous Cross in lively, classic fashion . . . with well-crafted convictions in proclamations and refrains like ‘breathe out a prayer’ and much more. Behold the fullness of this great gift . . . behold All Things New!”

I was a fan before this CD came out, and this release seals the deal.  The music is alive and the message is thoughtful and deep.  It's what music was meant to be!
